We stopped in at The Goat today for brunch. It's a nice location with space for parties (it looked like they were prepping for a bridal shower). They also are connected to Morning Ritual and offer all of their food and beverages. Service and food were really good, we'll be back. We all ordered coffee (which was nice and strong), it was delivered on a nice wooden board with long spoon for stirring and a little pitcher of cream. We decided to share a Morning Ritual baked apple cinnamon roll ($4.50), served warm with a little crispness to the top - it was moist and delicious! My husband ordered The Classic ($10.50) it includes 2 eggs, bacon or pork belly, toast, and hash browns. It came out exactly as it should- no skimping on the bacon/pork belly. My son ordered the Farmhouse tots- he really enjoyed them. I ordered the Southern Breakfast ($11.00) - fried green tomatoes, hash brown patties, an egg, beer cheese, a whiskey sauce, and fried pork belly -two stacks. Tons of food excellently prepared. The tots and hash browns were made in house. The manager stopped by, she was super friendly and welcoming. We were offered coffee refills and coffee in to-go cups. We left feeling satisfied, with a desire to return. No pics, maybe next time!

We rolled into town around 1 pm on a Saturday. We were attending a wedding nearby and wanted lunch. I was first impressed by the space. The Goat is huge! So many different rooms and areas to serve guests. It *is* a sports bar, but with a totally trendy vibe. I loved the bookshelves and cloches and decor. It was a very inviting dining room. Even the bathrooms were impressive. Very chic, clean, kind of vintage bathrooms. We were seated right away and I saw they were serving brunch. Darn- there was so much on the regular menu I wanted to try! Buuut I found some things on the brunch menu that sounded great. Our server was super friendly and efficient. Timing on service was perfect We started with the biscuit board, which I didn't know I needed until now. Holy buttermilk crumble, this was fantastic. The biscuits were HUGE (like 5" diameter huge), fluffy, hot, delicious. I enjoyed them on their own. The platter came with pimiento cheese spread (yaaaass!), hot honey (delicious), and the star of the show- strawberry butter. Generous portions and and all so very good. I had the Southern breakfast, which had a lot going on. The fried green tomato got kind of lost in all the beer cheese, but the overall flavor was exceptional. Egg was cooked expertly, I loved the sauce, pork belly was crisp and chewy, and the hash brown was a delicious base for this masterpiece Husband really liked his burrito, even after scoffing at avocado cream. Would highly recommend and can't wait to come back!
